“Ella at 100” - Roberts Wesleyan Community College Orchestra Homecoming Concert
Featuring Faith Amour, Brittany (Walker) Rumph, Chelse Chambers Three talented graduates of Roberts Wesleyan College’s acclaimed music program perform with the Roberts Wesleyan College Community Orchestra in a celebration of Ella Fitzgerald! Well-known Ella hits will be performed. All proceeds to go towards future music scholarships.

“Post Cards: the Forgotten Art Form” Exhibit
In the days before email, holidays, birthdays and other special events were commemorated with postcards. A new exhibit, “Post Cards: the Forgotten Art Form,” is currently on display at the Fairport Museum (18 Perrin Street). Containing the collections of several different individuals, the exhibit features the beautiful artwork and amazing coloring of more than 140 postcards dating to the early 1900s. 2017 Rochester MusicFest
The 2017 Rochester MusicFest kicks-off on Friday, July 14 with performances by Bobby Rush, Nellie “Tiger” Travis, Pokey Bear, Joe Beard, Lakeside and local favorites. On Saturday, July 15 the show continues with headliners Bobby Brown, After 7, Arrested Development and Big Daddy Kane. Children ages 2 to 10 are free with a paid adult admission. Families are encouraged to attend with their children. The “KID ZONE” will be available on Saturday for children under 10 featuring waterslides, bounce houses and more. On Friday, July 14, gates will open at 5 p.m. General admission ticket prices are $28 in advance and $33 at the door. VIP tickets, which provide for prime seating are $45. Local food truck vendors will offer and beverages for sale. On Saturday, July 15, gates open at 1 p.m. General admission ticket prices are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. VIP tickets are $70. The Radio Control Club of Rochester is hosting its 30th Annual RCCR Ray Edmunds Memorial Radio Control Air Show and Fun Fly, June 24th through the 25th, at the Model Air field located in Northampton Park, Monroe County, New York Examples of every type of radio-controlled model aircraft, along with some of the area's best pilots, will be on hand for this exciting two-day event. Join us for songs, books, colored scarves, musical instruments, and toys. The love for reading and books begins before a child can read his or her first word. The Children’s Center of the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County is inviting all babies, toddlers, and caregivers to join us for a Baby & Toddler Storytime. We’ll sing songs, play with egg shakers and colored scarves, share simple books, and play with toys. Children are not expected to sit still and be quiet. There will be time for children to play with toys and parents to socialize at the end of the Storytime.
